Job description

If you’ve been looking to join a fast-growing startup with a bold vision of a world where doing good is built into everything we do, then you’ve found the right place.

Backed by General Catalyst, the same investors behind Stripe and Airbnb, we’re building something truly extraordinary.

Our Mission

Our mission at Goodstack is to revolutionize how the world does good .

As a fast growth, AI-native social impact startup, we power global change through technology. We enable companies to seamlessly integrate positive impact into what they do through a unified platform while supporting nonprofits in gaining access to cutting-edge technology and finding new funding streams.

Global brands, including Google, OpenAI, TikTok, LinkedIn, HSBC, Atlassian and Twilio - as well as thousands of nonprofits, including the Red Cross, Cancer Research, and Oxfam - use Goodstack to make a difference.

In 2025 alone, we facilitated $5 billion in donations to good causes. But this is just the beginning. We're building the world’s leading platform that powers donations to nonprofits globally.

To keep our momentum and deliver consistently high value to our partners, we need incredible people to help us on our journey – we need you

Join us as People Operations Generalist to help us build a People function that is simple, dependable and ready to scale.

Goodstack is growing quickly across multiple countries, and we need someone to take ownership of the day-to-day operations behind our employee experience.

You’ll work closely with the Head of People & Culture, taking responsibility for the operational side of the function so that our people, managers and teams get the support they need.

We’re looking for someone who’s brilliant with detail, takes ownership from start to finish, spots problems early, and enjoys finding simpler ways of working.

As People Operations Generalist, your mission will be to:
  • Own day-to-day People operations across the employee lifecycle.
  • Prepare contracts, amendments, and employment documentation.
  • Run smooth onboarding, employee-change, and offboarding processes.
  • Maintaining accurate HRIS and employee data.
  • Coordinating our EOR platform and international employee administration.
  • Preparing payroll inputs and administering employee benefits.
  • Supporting immigration, sponsorship and right-to-work administration.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for routine employee People queries.
  • Coordinating performance, progression and compensation-cycle administration.
  • Maintaining People policies, templates and internal documentation.
  • Producing recurring People data and reporting.
  • Identifying opportunities to simplify and automate People processes.
  • Supporting engagement and employee-experience initiatives.
After 3 months, success will look like:

Operational

  • 100% accurate contracts/employee documentation.
  • Onboarding ready before Day 1.
  • Payroll inputs completed accurately/on time.
  • HRIS data maintained accurately.
  • Routine employee queries resolved in a timely manner.
  • EOR/immigration deadlines proactively tracked.

Leverage for the Head of People

  • Materially reduce the amount of routine People Ops execution.
  • Recurring People reporting produced without manual assembling.
  • People processes documented and repeatable.
This role is a perfect match for you if you:
  • Have experience running People/HR operations in a fast-moving organisation.
  • Are highly organised and genuinely strong at getting the details right.
  • Communicate clearly and know when something needs escalating.
  • Can independently manage recurring processes and deadlines.
  • Are comfortable working across HRIS, payroll, benefits and employee documentation.
  • Have a good baseline knowledge of UK employment practices.
  • Are comfortable supporting employees across multiple countries/EOR arrangements.
  • Look for the simplest effective solution rather than adding process for its own sake.
  • Handle confidential information with excellent judgement.
  • Are comfortable working in an environment where priorities change quickly.
Bonus if you have knowledge or love of:
  • Building automations that enable teams beyond your function.
  • Connecting with people to understand their motivations and how we can build the best culture where work = professional fulfilment.
  • Being curious and an active learner for your craft.
  • Tea and smoothie drinking
