Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is hiring a People Operations Officer for The Jockey Club Experiences, based at Cheltenham Racecourse with travel to Exeter and Wincanton. The role supports labour planning, recruitment, payroll assistance and HR service delivery across multiple venues.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to plan and prioritise across multiple events.
• Proficient IT skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan staffing levels for events across Exeter and Wincanton.
• Recruit, onboard and train casual staff.
• Build and maintain a reliable pool of event staff.
• Support talent attraction and retention initiatives.
• Ensure Right to Work compliance and other HR processes.
• Provide first point of contact on race days for staff queries.
