Job Description:

Do you have a desire to make a positive impact on the climate and biodiversity crises by working with an innovative global think tank? If so, we want to hear from you! This is an entry-level role suited to someone early in their career in HR or administration. It offers the opportunity to gain broad exposure across various areas within the core team, with room to develop expertise in their preferred field of interest.

InfluenceMap is a world-renowned non-profit think tank working on cutting-edge climate and sustainability issues. We are best known for the LobbyMap platform, which analyses corporate policy engagement activities on climate change and biodiversity loss. Our work has been featured in the media globally, used by hundreds of investors, and informed numerous climate campaigns. Other workstreams are the FinanceMap platform - assessing the climate credentials of the financial sector, and the Carbon Majors platform – which tracks emissions from the worlds’ largest polluters. With offices in London, New York, Tokyo, Seoul and São Paulo, this is an opportunity to be part of a team of 70+ friendly and dynamic professionals and to help shape our culture as we continue to grow and evolve as an organization.

We are seeking a People & Operations Administrator on a part-time (24 hours per week), interim basis to provide essential administrative support across the organization’s people function. This role will sit within the core team and will ensure continuity and smooth running of day-to-day people processes during the maternity leave of our People, Culture & Diversity Manager. The role will be responsible for maintaining employee records and compliance trackers, supporting recruitment administration, coordinating the employee lifecycle processes, and assisting with learning and development logistics. The role will also contribute to internal engagement initiatives, including administering the annual culture survey, supporting our employee recognition program, and assisting with DEIJ-related learning opportunities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role at InfluenceMap, you should have:

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working with Employers of Record would be beneficial, but not essential.
  • Knowledge of UK visa regulations and processes would be beneficial, but not essential.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • IT and software skills across a range of common applications.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Right to work in the UK.

We are an enthusiastic, highly motivated, mission-aligned team. We are seeking a candidate with a similar outlook.

Details of Benefits:

  • Location: UK, our policy allows flexible and remote working
  • Private health insurance
  • Extra 3 paid days organization wide closure at the end of the calendar year

Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from our offices, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences.

If you are excited about this role, but your experience does not align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this role or have transferable skills that would be valuable in other areas of our team.
