People Development Manager – Retail - Midlands & South

Areas ranging from:

  • East – Skegness - Great Yarmouth – Lowestoft
  • North East – Doncaster

Role overview: The People Development Manager will bring their expertise to execute the development strategy and ensure its effectiveness in enhancing retail performance. Responsible for identifying, designing, implementing, and evaluating training and development initiatives to ensure colleagues and management have operational and leadership skills to perform their roles effectively, driving business performance. Will collaborate with retail stakeholders to achieve ROI.

Responsibilities:

  1. Scope, design, and deliver performance-focused development sessions and coaching activities to retail audiences, both virtually and face-to-face.
  2. Work with area & regional managers to improve team KPIs, identify trends, and address concerns through targeted development activities.
  3. Conduct follow-up to measure impact and inform future learning needs, continuously improving our People Development offerings.
  4. Provide individual and group coaching focusing on personal and professional growth for colleagues on and off development programs.
  5. Model a growth mindset by staying current with Learning & Development theories and adult learning principles.
  6. Promote a learning culture by sharing knowledge and facilitating social learning.
  7. Curate high-quality content to encourage self-directed and social learning across the group.
  8. Uphold ILM standards in program delivery that align with quality benchmarks.

Role objectives:

  2. Deliver effective learning interventions that produce measurable results.
  3. Evaluate learning outcomes to demonstrate ROI.
  4. Coach individuals for growth and development.
