Who We Are Is What We Do.

Deel and our family of growing companies are made up of global teams dedicated to helping businesses hire anyone, anywhere, easily.

The team comprises over three thousand self-driven individuals spanning over 100 countries, and our unified yet diverse culture keeps us continually learning and innovating the platform and products for customers.

Companies should be able to hire the best talent anywhere in the world, so we are building the best platform to make that a reality. Our market-leading technology, expertise, and global team are crucial to the platform’s success. We deliver the best products and features in our space, enabling millions of jobs worldwide and connecting the global workforce with the best companies and opportunities.

Overview:

As a Data Analyst on our People Technology team, you'll spend the majority of your time analyzing data across our core HR systems (Deel HR, Ashby, LMS systems, and survey platforms) and the remainder on operational tasks including dashboard creation and maintenance as well as stakeholder management. You'll be responsible for transforming data from these platforms into actionable insights that drive decisions around talent acquisition, retention, engagement, compensation, and workforce planning. Working closely with our HR Business Partners, People Operations teams, Talent Teams, and internal Business Leaders you'll maintain our standard reporting suite while developing new analyses to address emerging business needs. This role requires both technical expertise to handle multiple data sources and the business acumen to translate findings into practical recommendations for leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with data engineers and analytics teams to develop and maintain people analytics tools and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Partner with senior People stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making
  • Design and implement comprehensive people analytics dashboards in Looker, balancing both high-visibility curated reports and flexible self-service frameworks
  • Maintain and enhance data quality across HR systems by implementing validation processes and establishing data governance standards
  • Define and standardize key People metrics (attrition, engagement, candidate pipeline) while ensuring consistency across reporting platforms
  • Develop and maintain dbt model infrastructure in partnership with analytics engineering, optimizing data workflows and improving efficiency
  • Support data science initiatives by contributing to forecasting models and advanced analytics projects
  • Drive data enrichment initiatives across HR tools, enabling HRBPs and stakeholders to access relevant insights within their workflow
  • Conduct regular analysis of workforce trends, including employee engagement, performance metrics, and recruitment funnel metrics
  • Lead workforce planning efforts by analyzing historical data and creating predictive models for future staffing needs
  • Design and implement data collection methodologies to capture relevant HR metrics across various sources
  • Build and maintain documentation for reporting processes, metrics definitions, and data models

What You'll Need

  • Minimum of three years prior experience in data analytics, statistics, or data engineering
  • Strong preference for prior experience in human resources data and analysis

What You Bring

  • Strong proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Sheets, Python, SQL)
  • Strong proficiency with data reporting tools (e.g. Looker, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong bias to curiosity driving the delivery of analysis
  • Experience in tracking and reporting on metrics at a regular cadence
  • Business acumen to know and understand the projects you will work on and how the data analysis will impact the business
  • Ability to talk to the business, manage stakeholders and their expectations, and communicate results of an analytics project to the relevant audiences
  • Experience keeping the business involved in your analytics projects and keeping them up to date in progress and potential setbacks
  • HR expertise is highly preferred - knowledge of the science behind what we do in HR, knowledge of HR best practices, and understanding of the key HR processes
  • Prior involvement in the aggregation of data, maintaining HR data quality, and the analysis of data
  • Experience in ad hoc reporting, cleaning data, and otherwise managing less mature data and systems effectively
  • Prior experience implementing, maintaining, and updating HR or other data systems as part of the analyst’s responsibilities
  • Prior experience working with both local and global data, and therefore having cultural awareness, which is essential to understanding where data is coming from and how cultural differences impact HR and data capturing practices
  • Competence in making timely, effective, and principles-based decisions using strong judgment to weigh inputs from multiple stakeholders and effectively managing tradeoffs, then aligning stakeholders to those decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to partner within and outside of HR successfully
  • Unquestioned integrity with assertiveness, presence, and confidence
  • High EQ, personal maturity, cultural awareness and compassion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
  • Strong desire and preference to work in a fully remote, global environment and not in an office.
