Job summary

Silverstone is seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor/People Partner for a fixed-term, onsite role. You will partner with leaders across business units, provide expert HR advice, and manage complex employee relations to support our fast-paced environment.

You will coach managers, lead HR processes, and deliver people analytics while ensuring legal compliance and a positive employee experience aligned with Silverstone values.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience in a senior HR Advisor or People Partner role.
  • Strong knowledge of current UK employment law.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations cases (disputes, disciplinaries, grievances).
  • Able to coach managers and leaders on best practices in performance, ER, and HR processes.
  • Willing to work occasional weekends/evenings in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively partner with stakeholders, building credible relationships and identifying people solutions.
  • Serve as trusted advisor to designated business units across the employee lifecycle.
  • Be first point of contact for employee advice and queries with timely guidance.
  • Support induction processes for new hires and welcome into the business.
  • Coach leaders on performance management and employee relations to foster a positive culture.
  • Provide people analytics and insights on payroll, training, compliance and performance.
  • Collaborate with P&C to support recruitment and resourcing strategies.
  • Drive rollout of People & Culture initiatives aligned with business goals.
  • Ensure consistent application of People processes across units.
  • Partner with P&C on broader projects to improve organisational effectiveness.

We are approachable points of contact and know how to get the best from people, and during the event season we play a special role in being responsible for operational welfare support to the wider teams.

The Fixed Term Contract role offers an exciting opportunity to provide hands‑on HR support while being a skilled stakeholder manager within dedicated business units. You will work closely with the wider People & Culture team to ensure we deliver a seamless, consistent, and professional HR service that helps drive business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively partner with key stakeholders building credible relationships with the ability to challenge leaders, mitigating risk and identifying opportunities and solutions to people matters.
  • Act as the trusted advisor and strategic partner to key stakeholders across your designated business units in relation to all the elements which make up the employee lifecycle.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee advice and queries, providing timely and effective advice on a range of people-related queries.
  • Support the team in managing the induction process for new team members, delivering the best introduction and welcome to the business.
  • Guide and coach leaders on best practices for managing performance, conflict resolution, and employee relations, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Provide people insights/analytics such as presenting analysis on payroll, training, compliance, management and staff performance.
  • Collaborate with the wider People & Culture team to support effective recruitment and resourcing strategies, ensuring we attract and retain top talent
  • Champion the rollout of People & Culture initiatives, including employee engagement programs, benefits, performance management, and internal communications, ensuring these initiatives align with business goals.
  • Ensure consistent application of People processes and procedures across business units.
  • Partner proactively with the People & Culture team on broader business projects and strategic P&C initiatives to enhance organisational effectiveness.

  • Ownership and completion of projects in a timely manner
  • Working collaboratively within your team, the P&C team and wider SCL teams.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Enthusiastic and supportive team player with a strong sense of teamwork and a willingness to contribute where needed.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience in a senior HR Advisor or People Partner role, within a commercial or leisure industry, not essential but would be advantageous.
  • Confident in advising managers and leaders on all areas of people management, with a strong understanding of current UK employment law.
  • Strong experience in managing complex employee relations cases, including disciplinaries and grievances.
  • Able to think outside the box to develop creative HR solutions that support both people and business objectives.
  • Willing to work occasional weekends and evenings, as required in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the business.

Proficient in IT tools, including Excel, Word, and familiarity with experience in HR platforms such as Sage would be desirable.
