A leading software provider is seeking a People & Culture Partner to support its international growth. The role focuses on guiding M&A activities and enhancing employee relations across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will possess strong HR experience alongside a passion for diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you will act as trusted partner to the business (including senior leaders, managers, and employees) and assist with building and delivering people strategies that are aligned to our long and short-term goals. Key areas of focus for the role include supporting greater inclusion and diversity, wellbeing and engagement, resourcing and change management.
As a People Partner at Jonas Europe, you'll play a key role in enabling our international growth, with a strong focus on acquisitions and supporting business units outside the UK and ROI. You’ll work closely with business leaders, the Head of People & Culture, and the CIO to ensure our approach to people is thoughtful, connected, and future-focused. This role is perfect for someone who is commercially aware, culturally curious, and confident navigating complexity.
The role will require regular travel and a requirement for some overnight stays as we currently support businesses in the UK, ROI, Northern Ireland, Sweden, Canada and the USA and we are expanding into Europe and the Nordics.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITILES
You’ll be working closely with, and supported by, the Head of People & Culture on all activities, including:
M&A & Integration
Lead on acquisitions and integrations across Europe (excluding UK & ROI), ensuring a smooth, people-centric process.
Partner with the CIO and Head of People & Culture to align cultural, operational, and legal people matters during M&A activity.
Embed our ways of working in newly acquired businesses while respecting local context.
People Partnering – International Focus
Provide trusted, strategic support to Business Unit Leaders across our international portfolio.
Manage complex employee relations matters cross-functionally and across jurisdictions.
Offer proactive, generalist support that puts people first—whether coaching managers or advising on policy.
Guide and coach leaders to help their teams thrive and grow, championing inclusive leadership and accountability.
Work with Central Services teams to strengthen the employee experience and maintain culture, connection, and engagement.
Collaborate on recruitment, talent development, and succession planning, promoting fairness and inclusivity at every stage.
Contribute to group-wide projects and initiatives that drive continuous improvement aligned with the People Strategy.
Data, Insights & Strategy
Use data to spot trends, uncover insights, and inform decisions—bringing curiosity and commercial awareness to people metrics.
Help shape and deliver the People & Culture strategy, taking ownership of relevant Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
Stay up to date on employment legislation across European territories and support compliance with Jonas policies and procedures.
Bring in fresh thinking by staying connected to external networks and industry trends.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience in the following areas:
Proven experience in a generalist People/HR Business Partner role across multiple sites and/or within an international environment
Strong experience supporting M&A activity, including acquisition due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition people support across international territories
An understanding of European employment law and familiarity with employment law across the Nordics is a bonus
Experience managing complex employee relations cases in multiple jurisdictions, with cultural awareness and sensitivity
Confidence facilitating change in fast-paced, evolving business environments
Demonstrated ability to coach managers on performance, succession planning, and motivation strategies
Experience analysing People & Culture metrics, linking insights to KPIs, and using HRIS and related systems for effective data management
A curious mindset and up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and people practices to help shape change and continuous improvement
Strong logic, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities to evaluate business metrics and drive impactful outcomes
Results-driven with a strong customer-service mindset and the ability to prioritise quality, even when under pressure
Comfortable managing time-sensitive, reactive workstreams with multiple, often competing priorities
Willingness and flexibility to travel overseas, occasionally at short notice
Resilience and adaptability to work through ambiguity and lead in times of change
Excellent communication skills—clear, confident, and able to create impact in both written and verbal formats
Creative and proactive problem-solver with strong initiative and a sense of personal accountability
Open, friendly, and approachable personality; thrives in a small-company, relationship-driven environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable navigating multiple digital tools
Well-organised with strong planning skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
Additional languages and/or experience living or working in other countries is a plus.
