  • Work alongside People and Culture colleagues to ensure our people policies are fit for purpose and support our long term people ambitions.
  • Working closely with People and Culture colleagues, develop modern people management practices through coaching, mentoring, systems, data and training

  • Strong analytical skills with experience using HR information systems and recruitment databases to extract and analyse data.
  • Track record of delivering projects and priorities within deadlines.
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.

This is a true generalist role which would suit an individual with a background in SMEs or membership organisations.

This role can be based in either our Chester or London office. Please indicate your preferred location when applying.

What you will get in return

In exchange for helping us to make a difference, you will get a host of lovely employee benefits including:

  • Competitive salary
  • Great work life balance through participation in our 4-day working week pilot (work 4 days, get paid for 5)
  • Hybrid working
  • Generous pension scheme
  • Health benefits like access to an Employee Assistance Helpline
  • Family friendly benefits like help with childcare fees, and more!

As well as this you will be working as part of a small, close knit team with the opportunity to truly influence how we work at CIPFA and the opportunity to develop your skills through exciting HR projects.

We know that not all people come from the same background, or think the same – so why should we? At CIPFA, we want to be a great place to work where a diverse bunch of people from all backgrounds can turn up and thrive. When we hire, we want you to feel empowered to bring your best self to work.
