Job summary

x+why, a founder-led, Certified B Corp, is seeking a People & Culture Director to bring the function in-house and partner with the founders, COO and Senior Leadership Team across our multi-site portfolio in the UK.

You'll shape and deliver our people strategy, ensure strong talent development, engagement and reward, and stay close to the business from the ground up. Hybrid working is possible with regular travel; a 4-day week option is also being considered.

Qualifications

• You're an experienced People leader who understands that people and business performance go hand in hand.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations.
• Experience shaping and coaching leaders in a founder-led, multi-site environment.
• Comfortable with pace, travel and evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver the People strategy aligned with founders and SLT across multiple sites.
• Lead people development, reward, engagement and support while safeguarding DNA.
• Act as a trusted adviser with day-to-day support and hands-on involvement on-site.
• Balance strategic oversight with visible leadership across our sites and remote teams.
