Job summary

Falmouth Exeter Plus seeks a People Coordinator to support the People & Culture team across Falmouth University and our partner organisation. You will be the first point of contact for managers, employees and workers, delivering timely, accurate advice in line with policy and legislation.

This permanent, full-time role (35 hours per week) involves supporting the entire employment lifecycle, maintaining accurate records and assisting with compliance checks, annual leave, sickness and family

  • Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Professional and approachable communication style, with confidence supporting a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Good numeracy and IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • A proactive, customer focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to a wide range of employment related queries and provide timely, accurate advice in line with policy and legislation.

About The Role

Are you passionate about people, customer service and are highly organised?

We are looking for a People Coordinator to join our People & Culture team and play a key part in delivering a high quality, people focused service across Falmouth University and our partner organisation Falmouth Exeter Plus.

In this varied and fast paced role, you will be at the heart of our people operations function. You will act as a first point of contact for managers, employees and workers, responding to a wide range of employment related queries and providing timely, accurate advice in line with policy and legislation.

You will be involved in all stages of the employment lifecycle, from supporting starters through to leavers, processing contractual changes and maintaining accurate records. Alongside this, you will carry out essential compliance activities such as right to work and DBS checks, and support the administration of annual leave, sickness and family leave.

Working closely with colleagues across People & Culture, you will contribute to delivering a consistent, professional and positive service. This is a great opportunity to build broad experience across People & Culture while contributing to a service that has a real impact on the employee experience.

About You

You are organised, detail focused and enjoy working with people. You are comfortable managing multiple priorities, responding to queries and finding solutions in a busy operational environment.

This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week across Monday-Friday, however part-time/job share working can also be considered for the right candidate(s).

We operate a hybrid flexible approach to working with an on-campus presence required two days per week. The remainder of the week can be worked from home or either campus.
