Job Description:
The role
- Develop and foster strong working relationships with the regional director and area managers to ensure top talent is engaged and retained, with a healthy pipeline of successors for key roles.
- Recognize what good performance looks like and understand the success factors involved.
- Identify underperformance promptly and support the regional director and area managers in resolving issues to enable success and proper placement.
- Promote a diverse and inclusive approach to talent management, including succession planning, manpower planning, and personal development plans.
- Collaborate with the regional director and area managers to address high labor turnover, providing advice to reduce attrition and ensure restaurant success.
- Line manage and develop the regional talent partner.
- Utilize analytics and people data to prioritize focus areas and identify trends.
- Work with operations and the people services team to resolve escalated cases efficiently and fairly.
- Support and facilitate change initiatives within restaurants to ensure understanding and adoption by staff.
- Create regional resourcing strategies with operations and talent acquisition to manage external recruitment needs and prevent vacancies.
Key skills and personal attributes:
- Experience partnering in multisite restaurant, retail, or similar businesses.
- Understanding of generalist HR principles, talent management, ER, and change management.
- Ability to interpret people data, P&Ls, dashboards, and scorecards.
- Strong leadership skills, capable of inspiring and developing teams.
- Partnership skills, including support, guidance, and collaboration.
- Problem-solving, analytical, and data interpretation skills.
- Facilitation skills to guide teams towards goals.
- Ability to promote and support change, engaging stakeholders.
- The candidate should ideally reside within the south region, from Exeter to Essex.
