Job description

What you'll bring to the team

People Business Partner

Location:THORPE PARK Resort, KT16 8PN

Hours: 40 hours per week Mon - Fri, some weekend work

Contract:Fixed-Term 6 months

To act as a trusted Business Partner and coach to identified areas of the business in order to drive achievement of the Resort and People Strategy through the management of their teams.

Key Objectives:

  • Manage and develop the Resort People Advisor and People Administrator
  • Partner with key stakeholders and business leaders to build and deliver people plans for defined business area to enable them to operate successful and achieve their objectives.
  • Coach and upskill managers in all areas of Employee Relations, Talent and Performance Management.
  • Providing expertise regard people issues to reduce risk, reputational and financial exposure.
  • Champion and drive key People initiatives driven by Merlin, including but not limited to STAR (company reward and recognition scheme), belonging (diversity, equity and inclusion), culture survey.
  • Manage escalated and complex Employee Relations cases using a commercial and pragmatic approach.
  • Manage and influence stakeholders internally and externally within a fast faced, challenging environment.
  • Managing and Supporting site wide operational changes.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Demonstrable experience as HR Advisor, Generalist or Business Partner
  • Demonstrable people management experience
  • Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation
  • Experience using HR data management systems
  • Ability to manage a busy and varied workload
  • Hospitality, leisure or tourism background desirable
  • CIPD Level 5 or 7 desirable

This role is a full-time role, averaging 40 hours per week. Due to the nature of the business this will include weekends, bank holidays and some late evenings as required.
