Job summary

GSF Car Parts is seeking a People Business Partner to serve as the trusted advisor on all people-related matters across the business in Wolverhampton. You will partner with managers to provide practical HR guidance that supports performance while protecting the business from risk.

This broad role covers employee relations, talent development, L&D, payroll queries and organisational change, owning stakeholder relationships and ensuring the right support from specialist teams.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a People/HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor.
  • Strong employee relations experience and knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Experience supporting managers in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Experience with HR systems and data reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for people-related advice across the business.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, absence and performance issues.
  • Support managers with talent, succession and workforce planning.
  • Coordinate responses from Employee Relations, L&D, Talent Acquisition and Payroll.
  • Support organisational change and business transformation initiatives.
  • Analyse people data and trends to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Build relationships with leaders and influence decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
  • Drive a proactive, commercially focused people agenda.

As our People Business Partner, you'll be the trusted advisor and first point of contact for all people-related matters across the business. Partnering closely with managers and leaders, you'll provide commercially focused, practical HR guidance that supports operational performance while protecting the business from risk.

This is a broad and influential role where you'll act as the gateway to the wider People function. Whether it's employee relations, talent management, learning and development, payroll queries or organisational change, you'll own the stakeholder relationship and ensure the right support is delivered through our specialist teams.

You'll coach managers to build people capability, identify risks before they become issues, and help create an engaged, high-performing workforce.

Key Responsibilities Include

About You

We're looking for a confident and credible HR professional who enjoys solving problems, building relationships and helping managers navigate complex people challenges.

You’ll be naturally curious, commercially aware and able to balance employee experience with business objectives. Most importantly, you’ll be someone who can simplify complex people issues and provide pragmatic solutions that deliver positive outcomes.

You'll Ideally Have
  • Previous experience as a People Business Partner, HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor.
  • Strong employee relations experience and sound knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Experience supporting managers in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Experience working with HR systems, people data and reporting.
  • A coaching approach that develops manager capability and accountability.
  • A proactive and solution-focused mindset.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience (Level 7 desirable).
