Job description

At Birmingham Hospice, our teams are committed to improving the quality of life for people living with life-limiting conditions, as well as supporting their families and loved ones during one of the most challenging periods they will ever face.

We are looking for a talented HR professional to join our busy and enthusiastic team. This role focuses on Learning & Development. You will design and deliver leadership and management development programs, manage the apprenticeship levy, oversee our work experience programme, and collaborate with managers on succession planning.

You will support all areas of the Hospice, establishing credibility and positive relationships quickly. You should enjoy working collaboratively, be a confident and credible communicator, and able to influence and act as a trusted advisor.

Requirements include:

  1. Educated to CIPD Level 5 or equivalent, supported by relevant practical experience and professional development.
  2. Experience in delivering high-quality People customer service within a complex and diverse organization.
  3. Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation, case law, HR best practices, and their practical application, including learning and development.
