Overview
Were looking for a People Business Partner to join ITV on a permanent basis, supporting our Finance division and reporting directly to our Head of People. In this role, you\'ll act as a trusted advisor to leaders and managers, helping to develop and deliver strategic people plans that align with ITV\'s ambitions. You\'ll provide proactive, solutions-focused support across a broad range of people matters, championing inclusion, building line manager capability, and promoting a high-performance culture. You\'ll also play a key role in implementing organisational change, handling employee relations issues, and driving continuous improvement across the People function.
Responsibilities
- Develop strong ties with Finance chiefs and overseers, offering mentorship and support
- Provide expert advice and challenge to support effective people management and decision-making
- Support the delivery of ITV\'s People and D\&I strategies, embedding a culture of inclusion and high performance
- Partner with the Head of People to build and implement strategic people plans aligned to ITV\'s "More than TV" strategy
- Lead and support organisational design initiatives, restructures, and change projects
- Handle a range of employee relations matters, including sickness absence, performance, flexible working, and informal complaints
- Identify and handle operational risks, supporting compliance with ITV People policies and legal obligations
- Provide people data insights and reporting to influence business decisions
- Support or lead on People-related projects, frameworks, and policy development
- May line manage People Managers and contribute to the development of the wider People team
- Drive continuous improvement by working with Centres of Expertise to deliver a high-quality, professional service
- Stay up to date with employment law and HR standard processes
Qualifications
- Substantial experience in HR roles, ideally within a fast-paced, high-profile organisation
- Experience in working within a HR operating model utilising Centres of Excellence
- Experience of providing a proactive HR service to senior leaders
- Proven expertise in UK employment regulations and HR guidelines
- Significant experience of delivering operational HR in a matrix environment
- Experience of working with Trade Unions and other colleague representatives
- Experience of organisational complexity and a matrix structure
- Experience of leading others
- Ability to diagnose organisational challenges and spot opportunities
- Strong communication skills, adept at translating initiatives or sophisticated issues into clear communication, adjusting the communication style as needed for the audience
- Excellent collaborator management adept at building rapport and trust
- Confidence to persuade and optimally question those in leadership roles
- Flexible in style to accommodate a variety of personalities, with the ability to adjust approach accordingly
