Job description

About Us

We are Foundation Partners - a consultancy working with some of the world's most exciting tech companies on all things people + culture. Why? Well, quite simply, not all technology companies have the financial resources, capacity, or experience to tackle the challenges of scaling a business and driving performance. A world-class People, Culture & HR operation is instrumental for this. As such, we’ve built a blended service so companies get the experience and support—both strategically and day to day—that they need to build an exceptional business.

Currently, we are a small but mighty team of 9, with backgrounds in commercial, people + culture, VC and consulting. We have ambitious plans for growth, and as part of that we’re hiring for this super exciting and progressive role.

Alongside Unleashed & JBM, we are part of Amplified - the people services group that supports technology companies from inception to IPO.

About The Role

This role is a unique opportunity for you to lay the foundations for a career in People + Culture as you’ll get to understand and dig into all aspects of the employee lifecycle working across multiple clients.

As a member of a small client-facing business, you’ll work directly with our partners on projects - experienced people and business builders. You’ll work on both the client work itself, as well as being behind the scenes supporting the growth of our own business. This role is well-suited to someone who loves building and creating.

You'll likely be either in the early stages of your People + Culture career, or have a couple of years early experience in consulting and loving the exposure and challenge you get from client delivery. Alternatively, you may be transitioning from a different but related field. This role is genuinely super exciting in terms of remit - you’ll get the chance to be creative and work across multiple clients, from tech and fintech to life sciences and venture capital.

There’ll be plenty of opportunities for progression and development - you will be learning super quickly! We have plans to scale our team of client partners rapidly, which means there will be the opportunity for you to move into roles with more ownership and client exposure as you develop.

Key Responsibilities

There are two main areas of responsibility within this role:

Firstly, working with our amazing clients to deliver their people + culture roadmaps. This will include:

  • Developing People and Culture materials for our clients that deliver new frameworks into the business. For example, from setting up a Notion site and creating a team playbook that lives there, to designing and creating new starter materials, to a vision and purpose launch deck for a team All Hands
  • Managing people ops, including benefits administration, memberships, onboarding, sick leave, and employee contracts
  • Research and information gathering to support client work
  • Talent, including recruitment process support and light touch sourcing
  • Running user testing on new content and making changes
  • Running ‘behind the scenes’ planning and logistics of our longer term programmes - such as looking after all the critical materials and communications for our Leadership Unleashed programme

Secondly, supporting the success and growth of Foundation Partners and that of Amplified generally. This will include:

  • Supporting the internal team with day to day business operations - such as preparing proposals, organising and managing our tools and systems, supporting on internal team activities such as organising offsites
  • Visual design - working with different programmes to create handbooks, playbooks, guidance and templates for our clients
  • Supporting with the creation and promotion of marketing materials, improving our reach and making sure the right people know about us
  • Managing and analysing data Data analysis off the back of our client’s People Experience Surveys

The Skills And Experience You Need

As we are committed to building a team with diverse experiences, as long as most of these needs are met, please do consider applying even if you don’t meet all of the below!

  • Experience in a people team, business operations team or consulting in a scaling environment, with exposure across the full people and talent employee cycle. For example, understanding the key touch points of employee experience - from sourcing to onboarding to performance.
  • Structured thinker - you’re able to take complex concepts and turn them into clear content
  • Data analysis skills - you may have studied statistics, financial modelling or similar and be comfortable working with large datasets (e.g. in excel)
  • Familiarity with tools and systems used in tech start-up environments such as G-Suite, Miro, Notion, etc
  • Visual communication and some visual design skills - helpful if you can work across all G-Suite, Miro and Figma

How You Work

  • Collaborative and communicative - you’ll work closely with the partners to create work for our clients
  • Great at driving your work forward independently, with guidance from one or more of our partners. You’ll be execution focused and will need to demonstrate the will to drive your tasks through to completion.
  • Manages variety beautifully - there’s be lots to go after in this role and you’ll be developing a generalist skillset, so you’ll be comfortable context switching and managing different work-streams
  • Focused on speedy impact - you’re able to not just pick up a brief but help shape it, working at pace to deliver against it

️ Compensation, Perks & Benefits

  • £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
  • 25 days holiday
