An opportunity has arisen for a People Assistant based at the Argos Distribution Centre in Kettering.
To deliver generalist HR support in a professional manner, working as part of a proactive and responsive team to provide pragmatic and focused HR solutions for the site and wider business.
Responsibilities include providing effective, customer-focused HR services supporting employee relationships and engagement, advising on policies, procedures, legislation, and supporting managers in investigations, performance management, absence management, disciplinaries, appeals, and family-friendly procedures.
The role involves administration support in recruitment, producing HR statistics and KPIs, maintaining HR information systems (Oracle), and developing communication channels for employee engagement.
The ideal candidate will have a solution-focused attitude, understanding of HR principles and employment law, resourcefulness, team effectiveness, and previous HR experience in logistics/distribution is advantageous. Excellent communication, administration skills, confidentiality, and flexibility are essential.
Reporting to the People Manager, the role supports learning and development initiatives.
