Job Description:


As part of the People Support team, providing key HR support throughout the employee lifecycle. From managing onboarding checks, maintaining our HR systems and manual processes, completing accurate payroll submissions and benefits provision, maintaining our learning management system, and maintaining the routine life cycle activities and queries that come from a dynamic wider workforce, this role provides the critical ‘engine room’ and core fundamentals for our employees, delivered with exceptional service, accuracy and pace. As part of the wider People Support team, this role ensures compliance with employment laws and other regulatory requirements, including achieving appropriate approvals, respecting confidentiality and dignity of others. As a dynamic and growing team, we’re seeking a proactive individual eager to contribute to every aspect of our People and Culture remit. This role requires flexibility and a willingness to take on tasks beyond the outlined responsibilities, ensuring the People and Culture team achieves its goals and thrives.



What you'll be doing:


  • Lead on managing the onboarding processes and checks for new joiners.
  • Creating and/or cross-checking for employee lifecycle document creation, including producing new contracts, changes to employee terms and conditions and other employee details, including letter generation and system updates.
  • Maintaining our HR systems and records, including trackers and our learning management platform.
  • Provide and manipulate people data reporting from our HR systems and manual information.
  • Key contact for employee queries relating to their employment, policies and procedures, owning every query to ensure whoever needs to resolve it has done so.
  • Ensure all payroll information is accurately collated, recorded, and on time, on to our HR system and on data upload trackers for the payroll provider, eg new starters, salary adjustments, sickness, hours, leavers.
  • Holding external Payroll supplier to SLAs, ensuring accurate and timely checks are completed before payroll approvals.
  • Key contact for Payroll queries providing accurate responses within SLAs.
  • Prepare other employee life cycle documentation and processes, ensuring new and changes to processes are captured and knowledge shared.
  • Coordinating inductions, supporting employee activation events, providing support with our learning and development programmes.
  • Other general HR and team activities support.

Requirements


  • Experienced in working in a high paced, energetic HR team, able to prioritise and organise workload amongst team colleagues.
  • Responsive to employee questions and committed to owning queries and improving employee experience.
  • Adaptable, able to handle multiple tasks, adjusting the priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Tech savvy with a good knowledge across a range of Microsoft Office and other products, including HR systems.
  • Payroll data collation experience with an external provider processing pay.
  • Strong communication skills - able to explain HR queries and payroll outcomes.
  • Attention to detail, consciousness and tenacious.
  • Able to maintain strict and absolute confidentiality at all times.
  • Skilled in working under pressure.
  • Curious - wanting to learn and grow.
  • Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture.
