About us

The Science Museum Group (SMG) is here to inspire futures. As part of our commitment to making SMG a great place to work, we are looking to recruit a People Advisor to join our People and Culture team to deliver an exceptional service to our people.

This is a full time role for a People Advisor to join the team based at any of our Northern museums in York, Bradford or Manchester on a fixed-term basis until March 2026.

Joining us, you will bring experience of working in a HR environment in an advisory capacity supporting the management of disciplinaries, grievances, performance, and absence. Knowledge of relevant legislation and current HR trends will be helpful, alongside experience of using HR databases and systems. You will be a strong communicator and relationship-builder, with the confidence and experience to manage various challenges and work independently (while being part of a wider, geographically dispersed People and Culture team).

Don't feel you meet all the criteria? We welcome you to apply even if your experience doesn't match directly. With your transferable skills, you could be the right candidate for this, or other opportunities that we have.
