  • Reporting to: People Manager
  • Working Hours: hours per week
  • Contract: Full-time, permanent

Job Description

The People Advisor will be responsible for providing effective and proactive support and advice to operational teams on employment issues. We are seeking a strong candidate with exceptional communication skills and demonstratable experience and skills, including:

  • Experience in a similar position
  • CIPD qualification or working towards
  • Solid understanding of HR practices and employment law
  • Experience in coaching and delivering training sessions

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide advice and guidance on a wide range of employee relations and employment issues, with a focus on informal resolution
  • To build strong relationships with operational teams to support their development in HR related issues
  • To manage a range of employee relation cases including disciplinaries, grievances, absences and performance management
  • To conduct regular HR audits to ensure compliance with legal requirements
  • To support the development of training programmes for colleagues and facilitate training to operational teams
  • To contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems, processes and practices
  • To implement and develop HR policies and procedures
  • To maintain accurate and up to date employee records
  • To track and analyse key data and metrics to provide comprehensive reports
  • To support with the management of Sponsored Workers and provide advice and guidance to operational teams
