People Advisor

  • Location: Grimsby

  • Reporting to: Head of People Partnering
  • Salary: 28k

Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Grimsby.

Role Purpose

  • Act as a key point of contact for People-related advice and support to line managers.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations and people management across the employee life cycle.
  • Promote and embed a values-driven, solution-focused culture within the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and support managers with disciplinary, grievance, and capability processes.
  • Guide managers on probation reviews, performance management, and flexible working requests.
  • Support change management initiatives such as restructures and organisational planning.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure accurate contract processing and lifecycle documentation.
  • Assist in collating and analysing people data and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Build strong relationships through regular site visits and people partnering meetings.

Requirements

  • CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards Level 5).
  • Experience supporting managers in employee relations within an education setting.
  • Strong knowledge of current employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information confidentially and professionally.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Right to work in the UK.
