What The Role Involves
Working as part of the People Engagement team, the People Advisor (PA) provides support to the People Business Partners (PBPs) throughout the entire employee lifecycle. The PA ensures the team provides a great service through developing a strong understanding of the teams they support and partnering to cultivate a culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance. The PA provides proactive support to the PBPs through data collation and analysis, document preparation, supporting new hires, ongoing process improvement, addressing Employee Relations issues (with support) and escalating where necessary and contributing to project work as capacity allows.
Onboarding
- Own and deliver a best in class end-to-end process for global new hires;
- Support delivery of an effective onboarding process, coordinating and delivering a useful and engaging orientation and guiding both manager and new starter through the onboarding process (new hire check-ins on day 1, week 1, 30-day, 90-day);
- Review probation period reviews, connecting with relevant parties as required and processing accordingly.
Offboarding- Conduct exit interviews and prepare relevant reports to support turnover analysis;
- Support the PBPs with administering the offboarding process;
- Act as liaison between HR and other shared services to communicate the offboarding process and requirements.
Performance Management- Support an allocated group of Line Managers in setting and assessing OKRs for their team;
- Support the PBPs with any requests related to performance management and improvement requests;
- Manage the Performance Review cycle set up and reporting in our systems;
- Support BP teams with KPI setting;
- Be a Lattice ambassador focusing on increasing Lattice adoption.
Reward & Recognition- Coordinate out of cycle role and salary changes;
- Support PBPs in obtaining data and coordinating for annual bonus and salary review cycles.
Reporting & Analysis- Produce reports as required, in liaison with PBPs and business needs;
- Support allocated PBPs with the production of the quarterly people data reports and decks;
- Analyse and present exit data to the PBP Team.
Employment Relations- Partner with PBPs on absence management issues, providing support and guidance as agreed;
- Provide documentation and follow-up for employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, and PIP meetings;
- Participate in scheduled calls with leadership to remain informed about team dynamics and issues (subject to capacity).
Additional Responsibilities- Efficiently manage and resolve HR service desk requests in JIRA in line with agreed response times; Serve as the primary contact for day-to-day employee and manager queries;
- Collaborate and support the PBP and wider HR team on various projects;
- Provide administrative support to PBPs and People Team management - this may include preparing data packs, updating presentations, auditing data and preparing communications with employees;
- Plan, organise, and execute People Team events such as team-building activities, holiday parties, and corporate functions. Coordinate logistics, venues, catering, and entertainment while adhering to budgetary guidelines;
- Stay updated with employment law changes and compliance requirements, observe rules and take measures to protect the confidentiality of the data and information;
- Support PBPs with learning and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and career growth.
RequirementsWho you are:- Relevant experience in HR, preferably in a remote, fast-paced start-up environment;
- Knowledge of HR policies and procedures, legal requirements, and industry best practices;
- Previous experience using a project management tool/software (Asana or Jira) is desirable;
- Experience working in global regions including the US, UK, Ireland, Poland, Netherlands is highly desirable;
- Previous experience using ADP and Lattice platforms;
- Ability to gather data, spot trends, and prepare straightforward reports;
- Readiness to identify issues and help find practical solutions;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
- High attention to detail with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously;
- Familiarity with core HR processes and basic employment law.
