People Advisor

Salary: £33-35k depending on experience with an increase on completion of 6 month probation

Hours: 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday

Location: Halo ARC Emersons Green, Bristol

We are seeking a proactive and compassionate People Advisor to join our People Team in Bristol. You will be a key contact for line managers and over 500 employees, providing expert support on employee relations matters such as investigations, disciplinaries, and grievances. You will also promote employee wellbeing and manage health and absence processes effectively.

This role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Manage investigations into employee conduct and performance, ensuring fairness and thoroughness.
  • Advise managers on disciplinaries, grievances, capability, and performance issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of ER activities and outcomes.
  • Champion wellbeing initiatives supporting mental and physical health.
  • Guide managers and employees on ER activities and wellbeing support.
  • Manage employee absences and maintain records in BrightHR.
  • Support complex sickness cases, including occupational health referrals and adjustments.

**What are we looking for?**

  • Experience in a People Advisor or HR generalist role.
  • Knowledge of UK employment law and ER best practices.
  • Experience managing disciplinaries, grievances, and investigations.
  • Empathetic, solution-focused, with excellent communication skills.
  • Discreet handling of sensitive issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

**Desirable:**

  • CIPD Level 3 or 5 (or working towards).
  • Experience with wellbeing programmes or health-related HR initiatives.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and MS Office.
