Job description

We are seeking an experienced People Adviser to join a busy People Services team on an interim basis. This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad and varied HR portfolio, providing high-quality, practical advice and support to managers on the full range of people matters.

You will manage complex HR casework to resolution, ensuring outcomes align with best practice and current UK employment legislation. The role involves advising on employee relations issues, supporting managers in their responsibilities as employers, and knowing when to elevate matters or seek specialist legal input.

You will also play a key role in recruitment activity, including helping to identify job requirements, developing job descriptions and adverts, and supporting fair and inclusive selection processes. Strong organisational skills are essential, as you will be required to prioritise competing deadlines across multiple workstreams.

The successful candidate will be CIPD qualified (or equivalent) with demonstrable experience of autonomous HR advisory work, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach. Digital confidence, including effective use of HR systems, MS Office and Excel, is required.

This is a hybrid role, working 37 hours per week initially, moving to 35 hours, and requires the ability to obtain Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) clearance.
