Sammons Group is seeking a Pensions Technical Manager to lead standards, governance, and best practice across Defined Benefit administration. You will provide technical leadership, interpret complex UK legislation, and drive continuous improvement while collaborating with QA, Operations, and senior stakeholders.

This pivotal role requires acting as a DB pensions expert on complex queries, translating regulatory change into practical guidance, and owning RCA.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in third-party DB pensions administration.
• Deep knowledge of UK DB legislation and scheme structures.
• Background in technical, QA, or governance-focused roles.
• Strong analytical skills, including RCA and trend analysis.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Desirable: Knowledge of industry standards (TPR, ISO, PASA), governance frameworks, data quality initiatives (e.g. dashboards), and PMI qualifications.
