Job Description

The In‑House Pensions Solicitor will be:

  • Identifying and mitigating legal risk across DB/DC schemes
  • Drafting and approving scheme docs, commercial agreements, policy and procedures
  • Supporting colleagues on scheme design changes, disputes, and investments
  • Providing legal counsel, second‑line compliance assurance
  • Developing and delivering legal training for colleagues
  • Managing relationships with external legal advisors
  • Advising on legal/regulatory changes and governance issues

The Successful Applicant

The In‑House Pensions Solicitor should be:

  • A solicitor (or equivalent) with 2+ years PQE
  • Experienced in drafting and advising on defined benefit pension schemes
  • Skilled in dispute resolution relating to schemes
  • Familiar with pension investments and defined contribution arrangements
