Our Pensions Administration business is growing, and we are seeking a Pensions Project Consultant to join our Administration Projects Team (APT) with hybrid working options. This role is ideal for someone with experience in pensions administration or pensions projects, particularly with Defined Benefit (DB) schemes.

The Team

Our pensions administration team focuses on scheme administration, outsourcing, member communications, and scam protection. The APT handles projects such as GMP rectification, buy-in/out, data cleansing, scheme closures, benefit rectifications, liability reduction, McCloud implementation, and Pension Dashboards.

The Role

As a Pensions Project Consultant, you will:

  • Lead and manage projects end-to-end, ensuring they meet budgets, deadlines, and objectives.
  • Coordinate and support less experienced staff.
  • Act as a point of contact, explaining complex issues and attending client and trustee meetings to present updates.

Other responsibilities include setting and achieving project deadlines, managing budgets, process improvements, reviewing pension benefit data, stakeholder management, liaising with HMRC, clients, actuaries, administrators, and other third parties, checking team work, understanding benefit structures and regulations, providing technical information, ensuring compliance, and supporting team management and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your Profile

Essential Criteria

  • Experience in pensions projects or administration, particularly with DB schemes.
  • Knowledge of pension schemes, data projects, and Excel formulas (Index, VLOOKUP, PivotTables).
  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and proactive skills.
  • Ability to foster an inclusive environment and support high standards.

Desirable Criteria

  • Progress towards professional qualifications such as PMI, QPA, RPC, DPC, DPA.
