Kenton Black Finance is currently recruiting for a Pensions Manager on behalf of a business based in the Liverpool area. This company has been operating for over 100 years and is a leading international infrastructure group. The role involves managing the technical aspects of the pensions centre's services. In addition to your salary, you will receive a yearly bonus of up to 10% and a car allowance. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement.

Your new role as the Pensions Manager includes:

  1. Ensuring procedures and tools are in place for the Pensions Centre to maintain compliance with legislation, regulations, and company scheme rules, developing new procedures as needed.
  2. Managing member communication changes and maintaining an accurate communications library to improve user experience.
  3. Becoming an expert user of our pensions administration software system, understanding data management, analysis, reporting, and system upgrades.
  4. Leading major change projects and collaborating with stakeholders.
  5. Developing technical training and tools for the administration team.
  6. Identifying system improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce complaints, and manage risks, escalating suggestions to senior management.
  7. Peer reviewing complex calculations and interpreting relevant rules and documentation.
  8. Providing support on corporate pensions and M&A activities.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills required:

  1. Degree education with a strong background; Pensions Qualification (PMI or Actuarial) preferred.
  2. Minimum 5+ years of pensions experience.
  3. Experience in pension administration management or consultancy.
  4. Knowledge of DB and DC pensions.
  5. Strong legislative and technical pensions knowledge.
  6. Experience with manual calculations and complex scheme queries.
  7. Attention to detail and analytical skills.
  8. Ability to prioritize, manage projects, and communicate effectively.
  9. Self-motivated with pension systems knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
  • Car or allowance: £5,400
  • Bonus up to 10%
  • Company DC pension scheme: up to 5% employees & 7% employer contributions

  • 37.5-hour workweek
