We have an exciting new opportunity covering the global pensions industry from London.
This role involves investigating how some of the world's largest investment institutions are navigating a period of upheaval, with a focus on pension funds' investment strategies, interactions with policymakers, and responses to demographic changes. Key players include the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, Australian Superannuation funds, and US public pension plans like Calpers and Calstrs.
The UK pension fund industry is also a focus, especially in light of recent reforms following the mini-Budget fallout. We seek an energetic, resourceful all-rounder eager to report on investment management, public policy, and corporate aspects of this dynamic industry.
The successful candidate will be capable of quick-breaking news reporting, developing sources, generating scoops, and crafting in-depth stories that appeal to both specialists and general readers. Skills in spotting trends and turning complex industry insights into engaging narratives are essential.
This position is within Harriet Agnew's asset management team but requires collaboration with companies, markets desks, corporate reporters, parliament, and colleagues across the US and Asia.
Please submit your application by the end of the day, Friday 5th July 2024.
Our benefits vary by location but include generous leave, flexible working, medical cover, enhanced parental packages, subsidized gym memberships, and Giving Back initiatives. Full details are available on our website.
