Summary of Role Purpose
KPMG’s Pensions Advisory team aims to re-establish and grow the pensions team rapidly.
We seek a talented and experienced Consultant to join us, responsible for working closely with the team and providing:
- Statutory auto-enrolment compliance and implementation
- Advice on DC scheme strategy and structure, including trust-based occupational pension schemes and Workplace Personal Pension schemes such as GPP, SHP, or GroupSIPP
- DC member engagement and education
- DC investment and governance, including setting up governance committees
- Wider benefit and reward strategy
- Financial coaching and well-being
- Advice on governance, compliance, and wider benefits
- Thought leadership on the future of DC structures and their links to wider reward
Description of the Role
- Engage with clients on key pensions projects
- Develop efficient procedures while maintaining quality
- Manage financial aspects, including budgets and billing
- Deliver technical DC work aligned with standards and quality procedures
- Participate actively in engagement teams, conducting calculations, data analysis, and proposing conclusions
- Seek support and engage in development conversations for growth and career progression

The Person, Experience, and Knowledge Requirements
- Experience in pensions advisory at Junior Consultant level, ideally in a consultancy or Big 4
- Knowledge of defined contribution schemes, auto-enrolment legislation, and the UK pensions landscape
- Understanding of different DC structures like GPP, SHP, Group SIPP
- Experience with provider selection and transition, DC scheme design, and investment options
- Basic knowledge of wider employee benefits and member communications
- Proficiency in MS Office tools

Qualifications
