Job Description:

KPMG is expanding its Tax and Legal practice to support clients with their pension obligations. Our pensions team collaborates with over 2,400 Tax and Legal professionals. We are seeking a talented and experienced Consultant to join our pensions actuarial team, focusing on delivering high-quality advice on defined benefit pension schemes in the private sector.

The role involves working closely with senior team members and providing services such as:

  • Strategic planning and risk management for pension schemes
  • Funding advice and compliance with DB funding code
  • Pension due diligence for mergers and acquisitions
  • Member education and communication
  • Advice on benefit design, changes, and governance
  • Pensions accounting advice

Role Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of defined benefit pension schemes and actuarial liabilities
  • Data analysis using actuarial techniques and models
  • Producing technical actuarial work adhering to standards and quality procedures
  • Assessing reasonableness of assumptions and results with internal tools
  • Drafting reports and emails based on outputs
  • Supporting case management and project delivery within timelines
  • Developing technical knowledge and maintaining communication within the team
  • Financial management, billing, and debt collection
