Job summary

Isio is recruiting an Experienced Pensions Administrator to manage DB scheme administration with a member-focused approach. Based in our offices in Manchester, Birmingham or Reading with hybrid working, you will deliver high-quality service to members and schemes.

You will calculate benefits, handle inquiries through multiple channels, maintain accurate records, and stay updated on pensions regulations to support client SLAs and relationships.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a pension administrator with Defined Benefit schemes.
  • Excellent member service focus with ability to handle diverse people and manage expectations.
  • Good communication skills with clients, members and colleagues.
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks to meet SLAs.
  • Strong general IT skills, comfortable with MS Office and system functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent service to a portfolio of Defined Benefit pension scheme clients and members.
  • Process scheme activities in line with scheme rules and SLAs.
  • Interact with members via phone, email and web contact with empathy.
  • Use tools and systems to record actions and manage cases to conclusion.
  • Calculate member benefits and produce letters, emails and reports.
  • Escalate errors and complaints promptly and follow procedures.

Experienced Pensions Administrator

Isio's Pensions Administration business continues to thrive, growing year on year. To support our ambitious growth plans we are looking for experienced and member focused Pension Administrators.

We currently have new vacancies which can be based in our Birmingham, Manchester and Reading city centre offices with a hybrid workstyle.

What does the role entail?

You will be responsible for delivering great service to a portfolio of Defined Benefit pension scheme clients and their members. This will include:

  • Understanding and ensuring scheme activities are processed in line with the scheme rules, taking responsibility for all work to ensure delivery is of a high standard and is in accordance with client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Providing excellent service to our pension scheme members, through accurate, timely and empathetic contact, via phone, email and web contact.
  • Using a variety of tools and systems to record actions and manage assigned cases through to conclusion, providing regular updates.
  • Calculating member benefits.
  • Escalating any errors, omissions and complaints in a timely manner to ensure they can be handled in accordance with agreed procedures and within appropriate timescales.
  • Answering incoming calls in an empathetic and caring manner.
  • Producing letters, email and reports to an expected high standard.
  • Taking ownership and responsibility for any tasks assigned to you.
  • Developing your knowledge and understanding of the pensions industry by keeping up to date with relevant pensions regulations and legislation.
  • Being positive and professional at all times to build strong relationships with others.

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a pension administrator with experience and knowledge of delivering administration services to Defined Benefit pension schemes.
  • Excellent member service focus with the ability to deal with a variety of people, building relationships and managing expectations.
  • Good communication skills, and the ability to communicate with clients, members and colleagues in a positive way.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks. simultaneously to achieve SLAs.
  • Strong general IT skills, comfortable with MS Office and other system functionality.
