Job Description:

• Pensions Manager - IAS-19 Experience
• Location: Milton Keynes – onsite 3 days a week
• Contract duration: 6 months
• Inside of IR35

My client is seeking a Finance Manager specializing in Pensions Accounts. The role involves supporting the Head of Pension Risk in managing activities related to the operation, financial management, reporting, and risk management of the company's defined benefit pension scheme.

Key Accountabilities:

• Review and improve the pensions control framework to meet audit expectations.
• Review and improve pensions models for audit compliance.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of pension accounting, risk information, and disclosures.
• Assist the Director of Pensions and Head of Pension Risk in preparing documentation and attending statutory and non-statutory committees such as Pension Risk Forum, Pensions Committee, ALCO, and CF Trustee meetings.
• Prepare pension information for strategic planning (e.g., P21, ICAAP, stress testing).
• Assist in preparing the scheme cost budget and monitor actuals against the budget.
• Maintain relationships with professional advisors, including work on triennial actuarial valuations and audits.
• Coordinate annual review of actuarial assumptions and recommend changes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in finance, capital management, scheme trustees, and risk management.
• Contribute to preparing and implementing the company's forward-looking Business Plans for the schemes.
