Job Description

Location: London, Birmingham, Edinburgh, also open UK-wide in additional offices. Hybrid working model.

Salary: Up to £80,000 base, plus additional bonus and car allowance.

An opportunity with a leading consultancy to join a non-restrictive environment that offers diverse daily challenges. The Pension Risk Transfer team handles various transactions, with client sizes ranging from £2m to £1bn, including traditional buy-ins, third-party capital dealings, and captives.

The Role

• Deliver bespoke, innovative solutions to transfer pension risk and manage complex scenarios.
• Manage a portfolio of Insurance clients.
• Request and analyze quotes.
• Network through meetings with providers, insurers, and Professional Trustees (occasional travel and overnight stays expected).
• Collaborate with both Trustee and Corporate clients.
• Prepare data, papers, and funding updates ahead of transactions.
• Opportunity to progress into an FCA-approved role and become a deal lead on transactions.

The Candidate

• Qualified Actuary or equivalent experience.
• Strong UK DB pensions experience within a consultancy, 4-6 years of experience.
• Risk Transfer experience is essential; candidates with only traditional DB Actuarial experience will not be considered.
