Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate effectively with third-party administrators, trustees, and transitions to secure buy-in and implement improvements to systems, processes, and technology.
  2. Apply knowledge of new client implementations with PIC and their impact on policyholders.
  3. Deliver strong business outcomes related to capital, profitability, brand, and market reputation, ensuring positive results for policyholders, shareholders, and trustees.
  4. Reflect Company values in performance and delivery.

Requirements

  1. Support the Head of Pension Operations in providing high-quality service to clients and policyholders.
  2. Collaborate with the PIC transition manager for successful onboarding of PIC and Scheme Trustees.
  3. Lead onboarding of new schemes, ensuring understanding of benefits, data readiness, and testing of payroll and pension increases.
  4. Conduct detailed data analysis and verification, including reconciliation and shadowing testing processes.
  5. Coordinate with Outsourced Admin and Customer Experience Teams for operational readiness, including automation, website release, and documentation.
  6. Work closely with internal actuaries to understand and resolve valuation data issues.
  7. Lead meetings with outsourced administrators to meet timelines and objectives.
  8. Prepare management information (MI) reports for stakeholders and senior management.
  9. Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
  10. Ensure projects meet milestones, deliverables, and quality standards.
  11. Manage internal projects related to new business onboarding.
  12. Adhere to Pension Corporation’s Consumer Duty guidelines.

Knowledge

  • Technical knowledge of defined benefit pension schemes.
  • Familiarity with project management techniques.
  • Understanding of pension buy-ins, buy-outs, and transition processes.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Persuasive and influential communication abilities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work within procedures.
  • Effective collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Access, PowerPoint, Word, and intermediate Excel skills with a desire to improve.

Experience

  • Extensive pension experience, particularly in DB scheme onboarding.
  • Experience in complex data analysis.
  • Working towards APMI qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in corporate or consulting environments.
