Job summary

The Pensions Regulator (TPR) in Brighton is seeking a Specialist Actuarial Modeller within the Pension Insights and Modelling (PIM) team. You will design, maintain and develop actuarial and financial models to inform decisions and support regulatory objectives, collaborating across the organisation and mentoring colleagues.

You will lead complex modelling efforts, ensure high-quality outputs, and contribute to governance and the development of assumptions.

Qualifications

IFoA membership with pensions and modelling experience.
Deep knowledge of pension funding methodologies and actuarial assumptions.
Experience modelling pension schemes in practice.
Knowledge of UK occupational pension scheme assets.
Experience governance of large actuarial and financial data sets.
Strong communication and ability to explain complex information clearly.
Advanced Excel skills including VBA and willingness to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

Design, maintain and develop actuarial and financial models for reporting, policy development and risk analysis.
Oversee data governance and quality standards across modelling projects.
Collaborate with technical specialists and mentor newer team members.
Support development of actuarial assumptions and modelling approaches.
