Job summary

BWD Search & Selection in the UK is seeking a governance-focused actuarial professional to lead scheme governance for a market-leading independent trustee firm. You will work closely with professional trustees, advisers, scheme sponsors and administrators to shape strategy and decision-making across a varied portfolio of pension schemes.

The ideal candidate has a solid UK DB pensions background from actuarial consultancy, trustee services, or technical pensions environments and is open to moving

Qualifications

• Strong DB pensions background gained within an actuarial consultancy, trustee services, or technical pensions environment.
• Actuarial exam stopper or senior analyst/admin aiming to move into professional trusteeship and governance.
• Solid understanding of UK DB pension scheme operations, funding, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with Client Managers and Professional Trustees to coordinate scheme governance activities
• Planning and coordinating Trustee meetings, preparation, board packs, minute-taking
• Preparing, reviewing, and managing pension scheme budgets and adviser fee allocations
• Liaising directly with scheme actuaries, legal advisers, administrators, and sponsoring employers to ensure statutory deadlines and governance standards are met
