Overview

We are seeking a Pensions Consultant to join our expert team within First Actuarial; to be based in Basingstoke, Peterborough, or Tonbridge. Our team specialises in delivering consultancy, secretarial, project, and technical services to clients, while also supporting internal teams, firm-wide projects, and focus groups.

How you'll make an impact

• Deliver expert consultancy, secretariat, and governance servicesto a diverse portfolio of clients, fostering strong and trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders in collaboration with dedicated client teams.
• Coordinate and manage Trustee and client meetings, including preparing agendas, meeting packs, drafting and presenting reports, recording minutes, and tracking actions and decisions to completion.
• Maintain and enhance key governance documentation and policies, ensuring compliance with scheme governance requirements and supporting Trustee boards in meeting Effective System of Governance standards.
• Lead and support a variety of projects, ensuring timely delivery to clients and internal teams, while drafting and maintaining detailed project plans.
• Produce and present high-quality reports, documents, and presentations, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and professionalism for both internal and client audiences.
• Support the onboarding of new clients, with opportunities to contribute to new business tenders and proposals.
• Collaborate with the specialist consultancy teamto deliver exceptional services and advice to both external clients and internal stakeholders.
• Commit to personal growth and continuous learning, staying up to date with the latest pensions legislation and industry developments.

• Proven expertise in pension scheme management, with a strong commitment to continuous professional development.
• Client-focused relationship management experience, showcasing excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Project management experienceis a plus, demonstrating the ability to deliver results in dynamic environments.
• In-depth understanding of pension scheme governance requirements, ensuring compliance and best practices.
• A track record of collaborative success, working effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workloads efficiently.
