Join our team now at Siemens Healthineers as Pension Accounting Manager and you will be primarily responsible for the technical evaluation and the book & record keeping for a portfolio of pension schemes, producing the annual accounts disclosures, coordinating with multiple key internal stakeholders and assisting with internal and external audits.

As a team member of Accounting & Controlling (A&C), you will a subject matter expert for processes, systems and tools and demonstrate proficiency in processing and checking, follow procedures and respond to queries related to Siemens Healthcare pensions accounting.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Reporting

  • Verify and Post year end and monthly accounting and reporting entries
  • Operate and verify monthly accounting entries
  • Central PEN Budget: produce pension budget for three pension schemes and submit in Esprit (Group financials reporting tool)
  • Prepare adhoc financials reports and presentation for Trustee's meeting.

2. Governance/Compliance

  • Responsible for all related internal controls (RIC)
  • Compliance with Siemens financials reporting guideline and IFRS
  • Ensure in implementation of pension guidelines
  • Review accounting treatment of Defined Contribution plans
  • Review of actuary reports completeness, accuracy, consistency
  • Reconciliation of actuary reports with accounting tools

3. Other

  • Coordination of deliverables with HR/ local actuary
  • Support of Assumption Setting
  • Provide deliverables to the actuary
  • Operate year end postings according actuarial report
  • Set up posting schedule for Defined Benefit Contribution for next FY
  • Prepare necessary financial disclosures for year-end local accounts as per local GAAP (IFRS).
  • Produce all necessary documents for quarterly and annual audit & deal with audit queries
  • Take end-to-end responsibility on the year-end local GAAP audit for pension, including related disclosure
  • Close collaboration in pension-related topics with Regional Pension Management
  • Strong coordination with Actuary, Auditor, CFO and HQ pension team on various queries, presentation to Trustee, etc


Your Skills & Experience:

  • Experienced in accounting & controlling, preferably on pension accounting
  • Good understanding of diverse business models and financial drivers & processes of business
  • Preferably educated to degree level or equivalent. With a qualification in a formal recognised finance accreditation (e.g. ACCA, ACA from ICAEW, CIMA)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with multiple interfaces & contacts within the organisation
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to manage complexities and crystallise solutions
  • Result-oriented, organised with good follow-up skills, ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Experience in / Strong passion in project execution of finance transformation projects, change management with a strong understanding and ability to work in multi-cultural environments
  • Working experience in multinational companies/assignments abroad with a diversified range of products and services
  • SAP knowledge (especially FICO module) is advantageous
