Security Testing Consultant (Penetration Tester)

Location: London (on-site), with optional hybrid working after probation

About the Role

Join a team of security experts conducting penetration testing across web, mobile, API, infrastructure, and cloud platforms. You’ll assess critical client environments, produce actionable reports, and support junior team members while contributing to Red Team exercises and internal improvements.

Responsibilities

• Perform black, grey, and white-box penetration tests across web, mobile, API, infrastructure, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Draft clear, actionable reports and present findings to clients
• Assist junior team members and support Red Team and social engineering exercises
• Stay current with trends and contribute to internal methodologies and marketing efforts

Must-Have Skills

• Strong knowledge of OWASP testing methodologies and common protocols (SSL/TLS, SSH, HTTP)
• Proficient with tools such as Kali Linux, Burp Suite, Nmap, Nessus, Qualys, and Metasploit
• Skilled in mobile and cloud security testing across AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Understanding of networking protocols and the OSI model

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Goal-oriented, with strong attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple priorities
• Able to translate complex technical details for executive audiences

Nice-To-Have Skills

• Programming, database, and IoT experience
• Containerisation (Docker) and CI/CD security knowledge
• Red Team and social engineering experience, including tools like CobaltStrike
• Hardware or AI/LLM security experience
• Participation in bug bounty or vulnerability disclosure programmes

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or Computer Science (preferred)
• 3–5 years of hands-on penetration testing experience
• Certifications such as CREST CRT, OSCP, OSCE, or CCT (or equivalent) highly desirable
