Job Opportunity: Penetration Tester

We are collaborating with cybersecurity specialists based near Worthing who are recruiting for a Penetration Tester with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

This role involves client-facing responsibilities. Working on multiple projects provides exposure to various industries. The client base includes the UK and the USA, so some international travel may be expected (subject to COVID restrictions).

You will liaise directly with business or IT representatives to advise on mitigating discovered vulnerabilities or implementing advanced security mechanisms.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver penetration testing services in accordance with approved processes.
2. Provide clients with advice related to findings and recommendations.
3. Conduct impact research on security vulnerabilities and technologies.
4. Collaborate with team members to enhance security knowledge.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Recognized cybersecurity certifications or proven experience in penetration testing/cybersecurity roles, preferably CREST accredited.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative environment.
• Knowledge of security assessment tools, techniques, and methodologies (penetration testing, ethical hacking).
• Good understanding of network protocols and services (e.g., OSI model, IP networking, TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP).
• Familiarity with standard Office software (word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools).
• Understanding of cryptographic concepts and technologies.
• Experience with commercial and public domain security tools and software.
• Knowledge of firewalls, IPS, content management, anti-malware solutions, etc.
