We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic midwife to lead on pelvic health within the trust.
You will be at the forefront of implementing the perinatal pelvic health service, working in collaboration with the South East London Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS) and NHS England. Your role will include promoting and educating staff—midwives and obstetricians alike—on pelvic health, ensuring they are trained to promote good pelvic health during antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods. You will also play a key role in establishing joint physiotherapy and midwifery pelvic health clinics.
This is an exciting time to join! You will develop working relationships with multidisciplinary teams and be part of our dedicated midwifery team across both sites. There will be significant learning opportunities, not only in new midwifery skills but also in contributing to a service designed to improve patient experience.
You will act as a champion for Pelvic Health, responsible for promoting high-quality midwifery and obstetric interventions aimed at reducing anal sphincter injuries and other pelvic health issues in childbearing women.
