Pegasystems Platform Developer (Remote)

KBR, Inc. located in Cambridge, MA, is seeking a Pegasystems PEGA platform developer to join our Mission IT team assisting the U.S. Department of Transportation's Volpe Center. The successful candidate will partner with the business stakeholders and IT teams in defining, developing and supporting robust integrated PEGA digital solutions.

Candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

Responsibilities:

The PEGA platform developer is a challenging position that requires strong solution design skills and a wide range of cross-disciplinary knowledge in business applications, data, hardware and external system interfaces. It encompasses:

  • Describing the structure, characteristics, behavior, and other aspects of software to project stakeholders

  • Developing features, user stories, and other solution requirements

  • Providing specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered

  • Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of digital systems, in consultation with specialists in the various solution domains including the following:
  • Development of new features or user stories
  • Issue resolution / system resilience
  • Quality Assurance
  • Testing / Orchestrate automated tests

  • Work closely with partners inside and outside IT and across business communities in assessing technology requirements and identifying, developing and supporting technology solutions

  • Participate in cross-functional teams for developing and implementing new processes, standards, and high-level requirements. Works in conjunction with applications, security, legal, compliance, operations, engineering, and other areas, as necessary

  • Ensure solution designs are aligned with strategic directions, architectures, and principles.

Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar field
  • 2-3 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pega Certified Business or System Architect
  • Experience with Agile
  • Extensive experience developing on the Pegasystems platform, using both Cosmos and Constellation
  • Experience working with IT systems and technology and a broad view of how these systems interact to deliver business use cases and automation
  • Certifications or work experience designing solutions and working with a cross section of business and technology resources
  • Post-graduate degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field
