Are you a proactive, collaborative, and compassionate individual with an understanding of providing support, advocacy, advice, and guidance? Do you have the ability to communicate this knowledge effectively in various ways? If so, we have a highly rewarding volunteer opportunity for you.
St Giles Trust is an ambitious, well-established charity that helps people facing adversity to find jobs, homes, and the support they need. We believe that people with firsthand experience of overcoming issues such as offending backgrounds, homelessness, addictions, and gang involvement hold the key to positive change in others.
The successful candidate will meet clients to develop an action plan, complete relevant paperwork, discuss support needs, and signpost to other agencies if required. You will provide mentoring in a positive manner and support placements to help clients reach their specific goals.
Working alongside other agencies to build professional relationships and seek additional support is essential. You will also follow all health and safety policies and liaise with the St Giles Peer Advisor Coordinator to stay fully informed.
In return, we offer flexible working, a mentoring program, an advice and counselling service, and more.
Please note: If you are not a passport holder of the country for the vacancy, you might need a work permit. Check our Blog for more information.
