Peer Support Worker(Tayside Adult Autism Consultancy Team) Salary: £30,869 - £33,039 pro rata2 x Part Time Roles – 20 hours per week each.These roles are fixed term for a period of one year. Are you confident working with others to build services that are supportive, inclusive, and empowering?Scottish Autism, in partnership with NHS Tayside, is looking for a Peer Support Worker to join the Tayside Adult Autism Consultancy Team (TAACT). This is an exciting opportunity to bring lived experience to provide support and contribute to the development of neuroaffirmative services that are centred on the needs of autistic adults across Tayside.As Peer Support Worker within TAACT, you’ll work alongside a team of specialists in their areas, this includes psychology, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, and psychiatry. You will support with the facilitation of post-diagnostic support, co-develop resources and groups, and strengthen the voice of autistic people in how services are shaped and delivered.If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. The CompanyScottish Autism is one of the largest providers of autism-specific services in Scotland, with a commitment to a social model of support. You’ll be employed by Scottish Autism but embedded within NHS Tayside’s TAACT team - a small, specialist team offering diagnostic assessments, interventions, and consultations for autistic adults across Tayside. TAACT are committed to ensuring that all aspects of their services are responsive to needs of the individuals they support.The PersonWe’re looking for someone who:

  • Has lived experience of autism
  • Understands the value of peer support and autonomy
  • Communicates clearly and with empathy
  • Can work both independently and as part of a team
  • Is confident using IT and keeping records
  • Is comfortable travelling within the Tayside area
  • Holds relevant SVQ Level 3.
