Salary: £23,909 with progression to £24,876 per annum (Pro-rata)

Hours: 15 hours per week. 3 x 5 hour shifts

We have an exciting opportunity for a Peer Support Worker to join our dynamic team in Ramsgate Safe Haven.

Ramsgate Safe Haven is an out-of-hours community crisis service open 365 days a year to support people in mental health crisis. We work closely with other Havens and mental health professionals.

We focus on marketing and engagement in the local area to reach as many individuals as possible.

Main purpose of the role:

To have lived experience and the knowledge gained from it, which will form the foundation of your peer support, helping build connections between peer support workers and those they assist. You will need to be familiar with or willing to learn the PSW Competency Framework, 2020.

Peer Support Workers in MHM work alongside Recovery Workers and other staff, drawing directly from their own experiences of mental health difficulties or caring for someone with such difficulties.
