Our Turning Point Scotland Services in North Ayrshire - Arran are looking for people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on a 1:1 basis or alongside others as part of a team.

Turning Point Scotland’s North Ayrshire Prevention, Early Intervention, and Recovery (P.E.A.R.) Service is a drug and alcohol support service based in Arran. We involve all individuals who use our service to shape our offerings and benefit communities. They contribute to selecting activities that aid their recovery and beyond. We offer 1-2-1 support, group work, therapeutic activities including relaxation and acu-detox in various settings. We are a person-centred support service, aligned with our motto “Your journey, your way. Your service, your say.”

The North Ayrshire P.E.A.R. Service works with individuals to take steps toward recovery. Each person creates a personalized recovery action plan outlining their goals and how they wish to achieve them. Support is provided to explore recovery options while collaborating with other agencies, communities, families, and relevant groups. Individuals are encouraged and supported to strengthen relationships with family, friends, and the community to reduce social isolation.

The service also runs family support groups open to anyone affected by someone else’s substance use.

Our support is always person-centred, involving people who know the individual well, including family, friends, health and social work professionals, advocacy services, and our staff.

No previous experience is necessary; full training will be provided. We value respect, compassion, inclusion, and integrity. We will support you throughout the application process.

As a Peer Support Practitioner, you will work with individuals with diverse support needs, providing practical and emotional support, and encouraging them to achieve personal outcomes related to safety, activities, community involvement, health, relationships, and wellbeing.
