Fixed Term Contract to 31st March 2026 (subject to funding)

Part Time 18.5 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a Peer Support Lead to join our Coproduction and Peer Support Service. Based at our Rockingham Street office in Sheffield, this values-driven role is ideal for someone with lived or learned experience of multiple disadvantage, and who is passionate about supporting people out of homelessness through a peer-led, trauma-informed approach.

  • Working hours: 18.5 per week
  • Generous holiday entitlement: 27 days annual leave, statutory bank holidays plus an additional 4 SYHA days, pro rata

More About The Role

This key leadership role reports to the Programme Manager of the Coproduction & Peer Support Service and is responsible for leading a small team of Peer Support Workers. You will develop and deliver a street-based engagement service for people rough sleeping in Sheffield, helping them connect with housing and support. As a values-led leader, you will model person-centred approaches, supervise Peer Support Workers, and work closely with statutory and voluntary partners to help reduce homelessness across the city.

Who You Are

Were looking for someone who:

  • Has lived or learned experience of issues such as homelessness, addiction, mental health, domestic abuse & contact with the criminal justice system.
  • Has experience managing or coaching teams, ideally with people who bring lived experience to their roles.
  • Able to advocate for lived experience and support Peer Support Workers to communicate it effectively to influence change.
  • Is confident in trauma-informed, strengths-based working.
  • Understands local housing, support, and health pathways.
  • Has strong communication and IT skills, including report writing and data capture.
  • Shares SYHAs values of impact, accountability, resilience, inclusion and integrity.
