About the role:

The Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) team is located within the Coaching Service in Student and Campus Life Services. We are a small and dynamic team working in a strategically important part of the student experience.

About us:

The Peer Assisted Learning team in the Coaching Service is seeking to appoint an Administration and Training Coordinator with a specific focus onregular liaison with internal and external stakeholders; enquiry services; delivery of training to staff and PAL Mentors; and the coordination of administrative support.

You will work closely with our PAL Coordinators - designated academics within the Colleges – as well as colleagues within the Coaching Service and in other the student support services.

About you:

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building and maintaining relationships; can manage competing priorities and resolve problems; and is seeking touse anddeveloptheir mentoring and coaching skills.

To succeed in this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following essential experience:

  • Supporting or delivering training to groups and individuals.
  • Strong communication skills used in a wide range of interpersonal situations.
  • Able to form and maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Working as part of a team and acrossteams.

This post is primarily based at our lively Frenchay Campus.

This is a 12-month fixed-term post, and is part-time, working 18.5 hours per week, ideally across 3 days (two of which would be Wednesday and Friday).

UWE Bristol is a campus-based University, this role is therefore primarily campus based, but with the possibility of hybrid-working from time to time depending on the task type.
