Job Description:

Pulse is currently searching for an experienced Pediatric Speech and Language Therapist who can provide overall support, working in a specialist secondary school with pupils who have autism and learning disabilities. This post is based in Craydon.

About the role:

As a Pediatric Speech and Language Therapist at our specialist secondary school, you’ll be working across 2-3 SEMH specialist schools in the Croydon area with children aged between 11 – 17 years.

Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:
  • Manage your own caseload of schools to provide high levels of support and consultation for operational colleagues
  • Provide therapeutic advice and guidance to teams to support young people throughout their journey with Horizon
  • Conduct assessments, set goals, and make recommendations for therapeutic support for your caseload
  • Develop, write, and regularly review/update therapeutic goals for children and young people in education
  • Develop and contribute to therapeutic and psychological training for staff as part of the Therapeutic Academy
  • Participate in regular supervision and CPD activities
  • Engage in service development activities across the Horizon Group
